“If you want something done right, sometimes you have to do it yourself.”
We in the restaurant industry aren’t huge fans of cliches, but every now and again, they are the only fitting way to describe something we do.
Take gluten-free pizza dough, for example. Creating pizza dough that tastes similar to “normal” pizza dough is no easy feat. In fact, it can be so difficult that many restaurants, including high-end ones, turn to restaurant suppliers to buy gluten-free pizza dough instead of making it themselves. They say, “Why bother?”
We approach things a bit differently here: Rather than take the easy road, the amazingly talented chefs at Scotts on Alpine committed themselves to creating the best homemade gluten-free pizza dough they could, and our customers are glad they did!
If you’ve made the choice to follow a gluten-free diet or just feel better when you’re not eating gluten, “giving up” pizza was probably right up there with one of the tougher food sacrifices you’ve ever had to make, right? Because…pizza! We know the feeling, which is why we’re so proud of this homemade recipe.
Our servers love talking about this dough. Our chefs take great pride in making it, and we all love hearing the positive feedback from folks who never thought they’d have “real” pizza ever again.
Whether you’re diving into one of our signature pizzas, such as our Meat Me at the Greek or our new Thai Kwon Dough, you’ll love our handcrafted gluten-free dough. Pair it with one of our signature wines, and you’ll see why this dough is special.
